The Role

Serves as department primary point of contact to customers, both internal and external, for assigned function. Manage performance to safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements. Resolve departmental issues impacting performance. Responsible for employee training and associated product development processes. Manage product development and adherence to customer requirements for Damage Control and Engineering Label Plate products. Act as ILS liaison with Field Engineering, Test and Trials, and the Label Plate Shop for Damage Control and Label Plate products. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented directions to subordinates utilizing management guidelines and general policies. Other responsibilities include planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience or Master's Degree and 4 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

 

Nice to Have

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical field of study. Experience developing, utilizing, and maintaining damage control products and configuration management of shipboard label plates and operational placards. Familiarization with Navy Damage Control Standards such as NTS-9090-820A.
