The Role

HII Operations and Technology Strategy group is hiring a Corporate Strategic Planning and Technology Systems Analyst in the Arlington, VA office to drive large-scale process improvement and technology implementation projects across HII’s divisions and shape enterprise strategy. 

Specific job duties include:

  • Support Advanced Manufacturing technology implementation projects, including robotics, automation, AI, and other digital manufacturing technologies. Analyze, model, and simulate operational systems to identify bottlenecks, build insights, and develop process improvement recommendations
  • Support the creation of strategic plans to advance Industry 4.0 transformation objectives and other major operations and technology priorities across HII’s business divisions
  • Partner and embed with divisions to implement operational and technology initiatives, working shoulder-to-shoulder with front-line practitioners to drive measurable outcomes through new tools, processes, and behaviors
  • Develop and operationalize strategic partnerships with leading technology companies to address shipyard constraints

 

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience

Nice to Have

  • System dynamics modeling and simulation experience
  • Manufacturing and/or logistics experience
  • Familiarity with high-complexity / defense manufacturing or shipbuilding 
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Capable of building rapid trust across a wide range of stakeholders, including front-line craftspeople and senior executives
