$500 SIGN ON BONUS HEAT TREATER - FOUNDRY

Job Description

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is offering a $500 sign-on bonus to HEAT TREATER new hires. Job seekers who apply after August 16, 2021 until December 31, 2021 are eligible for the sign-on bonus. The sign-on bonus is for external new hires. Current Newport News Shipbuilding employees are ineligible for the sign-on bonus.

 

Must be able to manage inventory of consumables (chart paper, thermo couples, etc.). Must be able to diagnose maintenance issues (burner malfunctions, refractory wera, door seal degradation, etc.). Understands the requirements of various materials being heat treated.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to work in extreme temperature environment.   Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs
