Job Description

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is offering a $500 sign-on bonus to entry-level Molder new hires. Job seekers who apply after August 16, 2021 until December 31, 2021 are eligible for the sign-on bonus. The selected individual will ram sand around wooden patterns to prepare molds for making metal castings. The selected individual will be required to read work packages and move molds with aid from a crane. Strong organizational and communication skills are required. The selected individual should be highly motivated and like to work with their hands.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to work in extreme temperature environment. Ability to work at extreme heights or in very confined spaces. Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb on a daily basis. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs
