BLASTER - EXPERIENCED

Job Description

The candidate will learn the process of surface preparation by operating blast equipment used to create a profile on a steel structure which will allow the coating treatment to adhere properly to the metal surfaces. The candidate will be trained in the use, care and safe operation of blast equipment furnished by the company. Candidates must be able to learn and perform safely, blast operations in tanks and voids as well as working heights such as staging.scaffolding and lifting equipment (JLG and scissors lift equipment).

$2,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with at least 1 year or more of Blasting Experience

$3,500 sign-on bonus for candidates with at least 1 year or more of Blasting Experience and C-7 certification

$5,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with at least 1 year or more of Blasting Experience and C-7 certification and an active Security Clearance

Basic Qualifications

MUST have 1 year or more of Blast Experience. Candidates must able to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces. Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and must take and pass a respirator fit test. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs. Must be able to pass Physical Agility Test..

Preferred Qualifications

C7 Blast Certification a plus.

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
