The Role

HII has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Banking & Capital Markets at our corporate office in Newport News, Virginia. The Manager of Banking & Capital Markets reports to the Assistant Treasurer and Corporate Director of Banking & Capital Markets and is responsible for managing all aspects of banking relationships, capital markets relationships, rating agency relationships, and compliance with credit agreements and bond indentures.

 

This role oversees debt and derivative management, including interest rate analysis/optimization and foreign exchange risk mitigation, and manages the Company’s share repurchase program through analysis, execution, and reporting. The Manager develops and executes capital structure strategies, supports long-range strategic growth initiatives, and evaluates cash deployment opportunities to assess their impact on the Company’s credit profile. Additionally, the position ensures accurate accounting, invoicing, and payment processing for all activities within the Banking & Capital Markets function.

 

To succeed in this role, the Manager must demonstrate strong knowledge of corporate finance, capital markets, and treasury operations, as well as experience with debt instruments, derivatives, and risk management strategies. The ability to analyze complex financial data and develop strategic recommendations is essential, along with excellent communication and relationship management skills. A high level of attention to detail and compliance awareness is critical to maintaining accuracy and integrity in all financial activities.

 

 

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience
