The Role
The HII Corporate Project Management Analyst 4 supports the Corporate Director of Sustainability with developing and aligning sustainability goals and strategy with business objectives, investor relations, and various sustainability councils/working groups/initiatives to ensure progress in all focus areas.
Manages sustainability-related projects across the organization (e.g., annual integrated report and updates, as needed, internal reporting, as determined by the Chief Sustainability Officer and Corporate Sustainability Committee, sustainability website ).
Supports coordination and consultation with internal partners and external service providers, establishes a clear and prioritized activity roadmap that successfully delivers the Company’s ambitions, including changes in policies and/or processes, alignment with external benchmarks, and proactive engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.
Supports partnerships with various business and functional leaders and with external service providers to ensure systematic and accurate collection and reporting of key KPIs and identify proactively new KPIs required to meet sustainability requirements related to EHS, Facilities, Supply Chain, Workforce Development, Quality, Cyber and Energy Management.
Supports projects across the businesses to inform and educate, and ensure key stakeholders understand the role they (or their teams) play in data collection, disclosures and the corporate sustainability strategy.
Assists in developing appropriate external communications regarding the Company’s sustainability strategy and progress
Prepares status reports for stakeholders and in preparation for engagement with the various rating agencies (CDP, S&P, Sustainalytics, ISS, MSCI,etc.)
Additionally, the candidate selected for this position should have:
Ability to manage complex, multi-month projects with deliverables that are externally published and reputationally significant
Ability to develop dashboards that produce metrics on progress towards sustainability goals; design charts/templates; create PowerPoint presentations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to organize and run team meetings with an established agenda
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
Nice to Have
Understanding of design, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities experience
Strong understanding of supplier relationships
Familiarity with environmental and health and safety programs in accordance with governmental requirements.
Familiarity with financial reporting
Six Sigma Certification
Understanding of Sustainability disclosure frameworks (TCFD, CSA, ISSB, GRI)
