The Role

As a Senior Enterprise Architect with HII, you will be expected to possess a comprehensive skill set, combining technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of both cybersecurity and broader IT domains.  A strong foundation in all IT domains, including but not limited to network architecture, system design, cloud computing, data management, application development, and cybersecurity practices. 

This position requires a deep understanding of emerging technologies, a proven track record in solution architecture, and a passion for driving solutions that propel HII forward.  Your primary focus will be on the following:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining the overall technology roadmap and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future growth.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that leverage cloud and data architecture best practices.
  • Leading the evaluation and selection of cloud services, platforms, and tools to support the organization's infrastructure and application needs.
  • Designing scalable and secure cloud-based architectures, considering factors such as performance, availability, and cost optimization.
  • Establishing and enforcing data architecture standards and best practices, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring that solutions adhere to architectural principles and standards.
  • Driving innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and evaluating their potential impact on the organization's architecture and infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with cybersecurity teams to ensure that cloud and data architectures are resilient against security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Participating in enterprise-wide governance processes to ensure that technology solutions align with overall architectural principles and standards.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior architects and technical staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Overall, you will play a critical role in shaping the technology landscape of the organization, driving innovation, and ensuring that cloud and data architectures support the company's strategic objectives.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 14 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 12 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 9 years of experience.

 

Nice to Have

  • Proven experience in a senior role focusing on IT systems, cloud and data architecture, engineering, intelligence, security, and governance.
  • In-depth knowledge of data security practices and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across various teams and departments.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, AWS, Azure).
  • Thorough understanding of data management and strategy.
  • In depth understanding of cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Experience in Department of Defense is a plus.
