The Role

The Data Analyst III is a mid-level HR analytics professional responsible for developing actionable human capital insights, designing complex dashboards, and collaborating with HR and business leaders to support strategic workforce initiatives. This role bridges HR data with business performance through advanced analytics and storytelling.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain advanced dashboards and reports in Power BI to support HR leadership and business units.
  • Translate HR data into actionable insights that drive decision-making on retention, workforce planning, and engagement.
  • Lead the design and execution of data integrity audits across HR systems (SuccessFactors, recruiting, learning).
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to identify metrics and KPIs aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Automate recurring reporting processes using PowerQuery and other data transformation tools.
  • Provide data support for compliance, reporting, and ad hoc executive requests.
  • Mentor junior analysts and support cross-functional HRIS projects.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience; 
Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; 
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.

One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree for Information Technology Related Positions Only:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate 
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience 
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Nice to Have

•          Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, HR, Business, or Information Systems.

•          Experience in HR analytics or business intelligence.

•          Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerQuery, and Power BI.

•          Strong understanding of HRIS systems and relational data structures.

•          Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.

•          Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, Recruiting, or Compensation modules.

•          Knowledge of statistical analysis or predictive modeling techniques.

•          Familiarity with SQL or similar data extraction languages.

•          Proven experience in HR data governance or systems integration projects.
