Job Description
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Basic Qualifications

5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD.- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited program from a college or university. 

Strong technical writing, communication, organizational, project management, and computer skills are required to collaborate with other engineering departments and the customer. 

Be able to identify component and system process improvements and implement required changes with minimal direction.
