Specific Job Description

This position is in support of future submarine concept development, specifically in the propulsion plant area. The candidate should have experience in the design and/or integration of complex systems involving power generation and distribution. Specific experience with power electronics, motors, motor drives, generators and protection systems is desired. Familiarity with submarine or carrier propulsion plant arrangement, operation and construction is also desired. The candidate should be proficient in utilizing electrical modeling and development tools including MATLAB/Simulink. The candidate should have experience leading small technical projects and working on complex technical projects under an overall technical lead. Good written and verbal communication skills are required. This position will require some interaction with both internal and external customers and the candidate must be comfortable interacting with technical team members from other organizations.

Basic Qualifications
