The Role
Must Have
Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience

Preferred Requirements for Engineering Technician: LCM Logistics and Analyst Support
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical, analytical, and logistical skills to support Lifecycle Management (LCM) logistics and analyst work. The key responsibilities of this role include:
Technical Skills:
• LCM principles and practices: Familiarity with LCM principles, including development, fleet support activities, land-based test facilities, ship alteration management, and equipment availability.
• Logistics and supply chain management: Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management concepts, including procurement, inventory management, and shipping.
• Technical documentation: Ability to create, maintain, and update technical documentation,.
• Data analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and tools: Familiarity with ILS principles and practices, including logistics support analysis, maintenance planning, and supply chain management as well as knowledge of Navy-specific systems and tools.
Analytical Skills:
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
• Critical thinking: Ability to think critically and make informed decisions based on data and technical information.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Obsolescence management: Familiarity with obsolescence management principles and practices, including identification, analysis, and mitigation of obsolete components.
• Technology roadmapping: Understanding of technology roadmapping principles and practices, including development of multi-year plans for equipment modernization and sustainment.
Logistical Skills:
• Inventory management: Knowledge of inventory management principles, including stock levels, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization.
• Procurement: Familiarity with procurement processes, including purchasing, contracting, and vendor management.
• Lifecycle logistics: Familiarity with lifecycle logistics principles and practices, including planning, execution, and management of logistics activities throughout the equipment lifecycle.
Software Skills (competitive advantage):
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): Familiarity with ERP systems, including inventory management, procurement, and logistics modules.
• Data analysis tools: Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software.
• Technical documentation tools: Ability to create and maintain technical documentation using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Power BI: Familiarity with Power BI, including data visualization and reporting capabilities.
