The Role

Designs, tests, and implements state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products. Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research. May prepare security reports to regulatory agencies.

Identity and Access Security Analyst (including SAP)
NNS is looking for a resource with SAP Security skills: GRC development background, with a solid background in SAP roles and transaction codes. Candidate must also have solid background in key concepts for Identity and Access Control.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience; 
Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; 
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.

One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree for Information Technology Related Positions Only:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate 
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience 
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of SAP/GRC software, specifically Access Control both in on prem and cloud environments.
    •    Experience in ARM, FIORI, CFIN and HANA is preferred
    •    Experience with Audit, SOX and CMMC

•    Manage multiple initiatives, build/maintain strong business relationships. 
•    Facilitate positive and solution-oriented discussions with key cross-functional business stakeholders.  
•    Lead discussions with business partners and help them navigate from their business process needs to GRC specific development needs.
•    Articulate highly technical issues in more simplistic terms so others less technical can understand.
•    Communicate and coordinate with the extended Newport News Shipbuilding SAP/Identity Security team as required by their assigned projects. This includes Huntington Ingalls Industries colleagues from other parts of the company.
•    Work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
•    Work with and influence peers and senior management.
•    Must possess the necessary leadership, team building, motivation, and delegation skills to efficiently coordinate the efforts of a team toward accomplishing a common goal.
•    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
•    Must have experience with Audit: SOX and CMMC and demonstrated strong presentation skills.
