The Role

Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) is seeking an additional process driven leader to provide day to day operational oversight of the NNS Onboarding team. This team is responsible for all administrative functions required in the talent acquisition process (interview scheduling, pre-employment screenings, creation of personnel files, travel and reimbursement processing, verifications and maintaining candidate contact along the process). This key position will lead and assign work to staff by leveraging employee skill sets, establishing work team goals and evaluating employee performance. Utilize your strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with candidates and HR leadership.  This is a fast-paced environment, where maintaining a high level of customer service, driving accountability, engagement and business results will be the standard. You will work closely with management to support hiring plans and strategize ways to improve processes throughout the candidate onboarding experience. The candidate experience is important to us, so we are looking for another positive communicator to help highlight why NNS is the employer of choice.  Plan now to make a positive impact by developing connections with the team, candidates and stakeholders to efficiently and effectively achieve goals, improve the score and own the outcome.
