•    The candidate will oversee a diverse team of engineers that support shock design and analysis, including overseeing dynamic structural (shock) analyses utilizing finite element analysis (FEA) methods with the pre-/post-processors (FEMAP and NASTRAN, Abaqus, Hypermesh, Government codes), hand calculations using textbook methods, and the development of engineering calculation reports to meet project goals.
•    In this role, the candidate will be responsible for helping guide the development of innovative shock analysis and design solutions, providing technical leadership and mentorship of the team, coordinating with Navy counterparts and NNS management, managing task budgets and staffing levels, and the oversight of their team.
•    The candidate will be a team facilitator with strong communication skills, helping to inspire creative solutions to meet challenging analysis and qualification goals.
•    The candidate will foster a positive and collaborative work environment in their team.  They will establish and reflect an expectation for first time quality in the products their team produces.
