The Role
Manages a segment of a program or a function. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies. Program Manager responsibilities include: planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order or mid-size technical services-type contract.
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our O45 Maintenance Planning Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of full-time employees and leased labor. The team is resonsible for managing, planning, and executing yard-wide multi-disciplinary projects. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage a team of full-time employees and leased labor, ensuring that all team members are well-trained, motivated, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Develop and implement comprehensive project planning strategies to optimize the execution of yard-wide multi-disciplinary projects.

Coordinate and collaborate with various departments, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.

Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate any negative impacts on project timelines and budgets.

Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members and provide constructive feedback and coaching to help them improve their skills and performance.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance planning operations.

Ensure that all maintenance planning activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the maintenance planning team, encouraging team members to share ideas and best practices.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master?s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
