The Role
Oversee and administer the efficient operations of each center by providing adequate staff, materials, etc. to accomplish the required support for all Trades and Engineering.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operations of all engineering vaults and contents therein across NNS' campus. Role includes managing all level of classifications for various documents, drawings, specifications, tech manuals, books, correspondence letters, etc., perform annual internal audits, participate in audits driven by various customers (e.g., DCSA, NAVSEA, etc.)., secure and safeguard contents in each vault w/ daily sign-offs and inspections, adhere to the retention schedule, update procedures as needed, cross train team members and foster team collaboration (w/ waterfront vaults), transition to digital format where applicable, enable AI where applicable, and provide superb customer service to end users.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master?s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Incumbent will have a keen eye to detail, adhere to processes and procedures, enforce compliance of those processes/procedures, regulate standards, and promote process improvement. Forward thinking, challenges the norm/status quo, ability to apply critical thinking and improve customer relationships, strong documentation and technical writing skills.
Candidate will display data management capabilities (collecting, managing, reporting, and troubleshooting data), showcase novel and adaptive thinking (ability to think and come up with solutions and responses to unique and unexpected circumstances or out of the box ideas), transdisciplinary communication (a strategy that crosses many disciplinary boundaries to create a holistic approach, come together from the beginning to jointly communicate, exchange ideas, and find solutions), strategic thinker, results focused, and strong decision making skills.
