Job Description
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience. Master's Degree and 8 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

VCS experience (construction/test/engineering/etc..)

- Project Management experience (PMP cert preferred)

- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

- Public speaking skills is a must (VP and Customer level)
- Earned Value Management (EVM); able to analyze cost/schedule drivers on a weekly basis for entire hull and report out at the VP level each week (with corrective actions from offenders)
- Labor Resource Management (LRM); analyze > 100 departments each quarter – sometimes multiple hulls;
- Ability to discern audience (detail-oriented vs. programmatic)
- VCS construction familiarization from Early Manufacturing through Delivery
- Ship Certification
- Familiar with establishment of budgets and EAC analysis.
- Familiar with Block IV build strategy
- Familiar with Block IV Progressing and methodologies
- Familiar with VCS VPAP Program and proven champion for cost reduction efforts in general (examples available)
