The Role
Specific Job Description:
Support the Software Inspection process for Supplier Inspection. Primary duties include: Translate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements; review and analyze corrective action reports and purchase orders in an effort to reduce and eliminate defects; perform software reviews on a variety of different commodities and control levels that range from raw materials to finished products, during quality inspection processes. Experience using SAP is preferred.

Plans, organizes, directs and reports on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, good manufacturing practices (GMP) service providers, as well as contract manufacturers, and/or contract manufacturing and laboratories to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements. Assures that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by supplier and that a quality system is maintained. Conducts programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation. Prepares, maintains and reviews procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Nice to Have
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
