The Role
This position reports to the Powerhouse Manager and will provide leadership & direction to all oxygen plant, oily waste and chemical waste operations personnel including 24hr rotating shifts. The primary role of the Supervisor is to provide clear leadership and technical support to the plant operators. This position manages the Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery of yard wide services to include all welding gases (95/5, 75/25, and 100% argon), oxygen, nitrogen and propane, oily waste and chemical waste operations
Additional areas of responsibility include and are not limited to:
• Responsible for ensuring that all Oxygen Plant facilities and systems are operated in a safe and efficient manner.
• Responsible for ensuring that the Oxygen Plant facility retains DOT certification as a compressed gas cylinder requalification facility under Section 107.805 of title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR).
• Responsible for ensuring that the Oily Waste and Chemical Waste retains all environmental qualifications and Regulations and Procedures
• Responsible for ensuring all employees are qualified to perform their assigned job functions by identifying and scheduling required training for their employees
• Responsible for the adherence and administration of all NNS Policies and Procedures
• Responsible for building strong customer relationships.
• Duties include implementing LCAM across Plant Operations owned equipment and systems.
• Duties also include succession planning including training, development and coaching of all team members.
• Duties also include timely response to plant system upset conditions
• Supports a 24/7 operation
Supervises employees or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, and/or general maintenance. Sets priorities and performs forecasting and allocates the resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or the equivalent in education, training and experience, plus a minimum of 4 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience. Master's degree and 2 years relevant experience. NNS Apprentice Certificate plus 4 years of applicable experience.

• Knowledge of compressed gas cylinder inspection, testing, and recertification
• Knowledge of bulk cryogenic gas supply systems to include operations and maintenance practices
• Knowledge of welding gas mixing equipment
• Knowledge of piping system components including valves, pressure reducing equipment, overpressure protection devices and monitoring equipment
• Knowledge of oily waste systems and wastewater knowledge
• Able to direct a team of plant operators on a rotating shift to include bulk gas deliveries, system maintenance, and scheduling plant maintenance outages
• Knowledge of the SAP plant maintenance module, to include material ordering, maintenance scheduling, notification entry/work order processing
• Able to coordinate troubleshooting and plant maintenance outages
