TALENT ACQUISITION REP 4 -University Relations

Job Description

Partners with various levels of management to identify and achieve critical skills and pipeline hiring objectives.  Responsible for managing the company's pipeline programs such as the Internship and Co-op programs.  Work with TA Management to create a UR&R strategy for setting up company events and programs.  lead Newport News Shipbuilding and/or HII at diversity conferences, career fairs, information sessions, resume writing/interviewing critiques, networking opportunities and other special project and/or events that will support the hiring goals and objectives.  

Strengthen campus relations with faculty and key personnel to increase connection to students.  Partner with diversity groups in support of branding/recruiting and engagement of new talent.  Work with career services and faculty at universities, community colleges and technical schools.

Conducts interviews to recruit prospective employees and refers job applicants to specific job openings. Evaluates employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, physical and personal qualifications, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral. Prepares rating on applicants, makes recommendations on starting salaries, and provides applicants with information on the company. May administer tests and interpret results, check references, arrange transportation of selected applicants, extend formal job offers, work with outside agencies and vendors, etc.

Basic Qualifications

10 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 8 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree
