Corporate Supervising Senior Tax Accountant

Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) seeks an experienced Corporate Supervising Senior Tax Analyst 4. 

Responsibilities include:
•Prepare or supervise preparation of federal, state and local corporate income tax returns in compliance with applicable tax laws.
•Review federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns.
•Assist in preparation or review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including reconciliation and roll-forward of deferred tax accounts.
•Support tax workflows to include the Annual Operating Plan, Indicated Final Forecasting, Forward Pricing Rate Proposal and Transfer Pricing Reports.
•Identify and implement tax department automation and technology initiatives.
•Identify and implement improvements to tax department processes and other special projects.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics, plus at least 10 years of related experience, preferably with global public accounting, corporate tax and/or accounting at a defense contractor or agency. 

Master's degree and 8 years relevant experience.

Position can be fully or partially remote

Preferred Qualifications

•Experience preparing complex consolidated and combined income tax returns for large corporations. 
•Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
•Experience with OneSource Income Tax Compliance, Longview Tax Provision, and BNA Fixed Asset Software.
•Experience with SAP, CostPoint, and Central Finance accounting systems and related applications
•Experience with tax research services, such as Checkpoint and BNA.
•Knowledge of the provisions and application of ASC 740, Income Tax Accounting.
•Strong technology and organizational skills
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Strong analytical abilities
•CPA designation
