The Role

Precision. Power. Craftsmanship. Become a Burner.

Do you have the skill and focus required to cut, shape, and prepare metal that becomes part of the most advanced naval vessels in the world? Ingalls Shipbuilding is seeking Skilled Burners who take pride in high‑accuracy metal cutting, layout, and fabrication support.

As a Burner, you will read and interpret blueprints, determine the correct cutting methods, and operate burning equipment to prepare steel components used throughout the ship. Your work helps create the foundations, structures, and assemblies that define every vessel we build.

• Determine the proper cutting method, equipment, and sequence of operations
