The Role
As a construction diver, you will be expected to perform a number of different tasks. Responsibilities include construction and inspection, and examining vessels, docks, piers, pipelines, and other structures in order to assess their condition. In some cases, test sampling and underwater photography (both still and video), may be used to assess a particular situation. Plans are drawn up from the assessment and you are assigned specific taks to carry out in conjuction with other members of the dive team.
Must Have
Every diver should have the following:
- Open Water Dive Certification
- Experience: 3-5 years
- Good health, no contra-indicated medical conditions and an occupational dive medical certificate
- Good swimming ability while being comfortable and at home in the water
- Stamina physical fitness
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Good levels of concentration under demanding physical conditions
- Ability to function in zero or low visibility conditions
- Ability to drive and/or operate a skiff (Boater's license and safety course)

- Good attitude
- Ability to follow strict safety procedures
- Be able to work as a team or alone
- Problem solving
- Ability to learn new things
- Dark water experience
