The Role
HII has an immediate opportunity for a Corporate Auditor 4 in Pascagoula, Mississippi!
Auditor will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of audit processes - budgeting, scoping, planning, fieldwork, assessing risk, report writing, follow up with internal audit clients - and performing operating, financial, Sarbanes Oxley, and assurance audits across the enterprise. Auditor will work closely with all levels within the company including our divisions - Mission Technology, Newport News Shipbuilding, Ingalls Shipbuilding as well as the corporate office while ensuring excellent client service.
Auditor will conduct complex financial and operational audits by examining and verifying accounting, statistical and / or operational records and/or procedures of internal and / or external organizations, and use data analytics to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of internal control systems. Auditor will examine records and processes to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, corporate policies, and generally accepted internal audit standards.
Auditor will support HII in advisory services via evaluations and recommendations of business practices, processes, and controls and provide support to our external auditors via assurance-based audits and audits over internal controls.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
Nice to Have
- CIA and/or CPA
- Shipbuilding operations experience
- Experience with the following:
- SAP and/or Cost Point
- OPTRO (formally AuditBoard)
- Data analytic tools (Power BI, Power Pivot, etc.)
- AI or automation tools (Copilot)
