The Role

The Director of Emergency Management & Security is a senior security leader responsible for advancing the division’s security strategy and integrating security disciplines to support operational performance, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management. The role oversees a broad portfolio including physical security, logical security integration, crisis management, emergency management, executive protection, insider threat, business continuity and resumption, and National Industrial Security Program operations and compliance.

The Director serves as the principal security advisor to divisional leadership, aligning security capabilities with organizational priorities and translating complex risk environments into practical strategies that protect people, facilities, information, and brand while enabling mission success.

As a relationship leader, the Director develops trusted partnerships with business unit leadership, government officials, and professional organizations. The role acts as a strategic consultant to organizational stakeholders, helping leaders understand risk, integrate security considerations into business operations, and make informed decisions.

The Director leads a team of security managers and professionals, building a high-performing organization grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The leader mentors and develops talent while fostering a team culture that is responsive to business needs and committed to integrity and operational excellence.

The Director oversees the integration and execution of security programs, budgets, and resources in support of government contractual requirements and corporate policy. The role requires the ability to assess evolving conditions, make sound decisions under pressure, and provide leadership during incidents or operational disruptions.

As a contributor to enterprise governance, the Director participates in the Corporate Security Council and helps ensure that security and business risks are identified, evaluated, and communicated to senior leadership. The Director collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive risk profile and implement cost-effective mitigation strategies aligned with business priorities.

Success in this role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and executive-level communication skills. The Director must build trusted partnerships across legal, labor relations, compliance, and operational leadership while delivering security solutions that strengthen organizational resilience and enable operational performance.

Must Have

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (or the equivalent in education, training and experience), plus a minimum of 10 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Must have Top Secret DOD Clearance or be able to obtain TS clearance. Master's degree and 8 years relevant experience.
