Job Description

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Use and/or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform professional tasks.

Develops recommended solutions to technical problems as assigned.

Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Works under general supervision.

Contributes to the completion of assigned technical tasks. Failure to achieve results should be detected in supervisory oversight.

Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the section or group

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in related field .

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited university with basic understanding of engineering principles and marine systems. Ability to work well with others including Senior Engineers and Designers. Develop engineering products iaw standard procedures under the guidance of senior personnel.  Proficient with AutoCAD software. Shipboard experience.
