The Role
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. The engineer will support the design, development, and integration of electrical systems across Naval ship programs, ensuring all engineering activities comply with contractual requirements, MIL SPEC standards, and program level design criteria. This role requires extensive engagement with engineering data environments to extract, validate, and manage large scale datasets critical to ship design and configuration. The engineer will develop data models, analytical workflows, and automated processes to enhance data accuracy, improve traceability, and streamline engineering deliverables. The position also involves close collaboration with cross functional engineering teams, program management, and Navy technical representatives to resolve technical issues and maintain alignment across disciplines throughout the system design and integration lifecycle.
Must Have
5 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field from an ABET accredited institution; 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree; 0 years with a PhD.

Nice to Have
A strong background in Electrical or Systems required but could be used to determine who is most qualified) Engineering, particularly within DOG, LHA, and LPD class ship design programs, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency with engineering and data centric toolsets such as Setroute, EDP, MEL, CMPIC, SQL Datamart and MPL. The candidate must be capable of interpreting, transforming, and integrating large scale datasets originating from EVMS, EDP, MEL, Setroute, MPL, and SQL Datamart environments. Technical competency in programming and automation is required, with demonstrated experience in Python, VBA, SQL Server, Power Bl, Power Platform, DAX, and Microsoft Office applications for data modeling, analytics, and workflow optimization.
