ENTRY LEVEL JOINER

Job Description

This position is for an Entry Level Joiner. 

Responsible for the mounting of ship furniture, ceilings, galley equipment, partition bulkheads, cabin accessories and various out outfitted equipment. Joiner Mechanics work with metal and word materials utilizing various hand tools and shop equipment. Joiner Mechanic work requires the use of metric and standard measuring devices, basic math and reading in their daily tasking.  Skill training will be provided to all candidates.

Joiners may be required to work either day or night (various shifts) dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. Shipyard production areas involve working at different heights, confined spaces, all weather conditions. Ingalls stresses the practice of working safely in all situations.  Safety training will be provided to all candidates.

Basic Qualifications

Entry level position.  No experience needed.
