Job Description
This position is for an Entry Level Pipe Insulator.
Responsible for the layout, fabrication, installation, repair, and removal of insulation in various application and types. Pipe Insulators not only insulate piping systems but perform work on ventilation duct, and various ship structures throughout the vessel. Skill training will be provided to all candidates.
Pipe Insulators will be required to work either day or night (various shifts) dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. Shipyard production areas involve working at different heights, confined spaces, and all weather conditions. Ingalls stresses the practice of working safely in all situations. Safety training will be provided to all candidates.
