The Role

The Ethics Investigator 2 is responsible for conducting confidential investigations into reports of unethical workplace behavior and potential violations of company policies, including but not limited to the Code of Conduct, harassment, sexual harassment, retaliation, discrimination, labor mischarging, conflicts of interest, and other misconduct.

Reporting to the Director of Ethics & Compliance, this role primarily supports the Law Department in investigating potentially significant allegations, while also performing investigations into other ethics and conduct-related matters across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

•  Conduct thorough and objective investigations using generally accepted investigative principles, standards, and techniques.

•  Perform effective, well structured interviews while ensuring fairness and respecting the rights of all interviewees.

•  Collect, analyze, and interpret relevant data, documentation, and evidence; conduct supplemental research as needed.

•  Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely investigative reports that include factual findings, sound analysis, and insights into contributing factors or root causes.

•  Engage and collaborate, as appropriate, with legal counsel, Human Resources, and organizational leadership; may be required to provide investigation briefings or updates.

•  Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive matters.

Must Have

High School diploma or GED with 11 years relevant experience conducting complex legal, ethics, and/or human resources investigations; Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years of prior relevant experience; or Graduate Degree and a minimum of one year of prior related experience or equivalent. A combination of experience and education may be substituted in lieu of degree. 

Nice to Have

Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, including influencing others and briefing leadership on matters important to the business.

• Formal training in interviewing individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Prior law enforcement investigative experience preferred.

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (oral and written).

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software tools.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply relevant laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
