The Role
The Manager 2 IS Technology oversees a team responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable data/AI technology services across the enterprise. This role manages daily operations, leads technological initiatives, manages business integration and ensures alignment with business goals and strategic roadmaps. The ideal candidate has strong technical depth, proven leadership capability, and experience with modern technologies including AI solutions, MS SQL Sever / Oracle DBMS, and Microsoft M365 data platforms and knowledge of current data driven business processes.
Lead and mentor a technical team supporting infrastructure, applications, and M365 services. Oversee operational performance, service quality, and IT governance. Manage technology projects and coordinate cross-functional work to transition from current data driven processes to centralized single source of truth data platform. Support AI-driven solutions, automation, and modern data platforms. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, compliance, and internal controls. Provide escalation support for complex technical issues.

Nice to Have
Experience with MS SQL Server / Oracle DBMS, Familiarity with CMMC Compliance and Governance, Exposure to data architecture, data governance, or AI/ML tools. Knowledge of shipyard processes. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise M365 environments. Knowledge of M365 Power Platform, to include Dataverse, Data Lakes, and AI / Intelligent Agents. Background in IT practices or similar technical roles. Supervisory or management experience with technical teams. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
