Job Description
Responsible for the Cost, Schedule, Quality for the execution of DDG51, LPD 17, and LHA Post Delivery Services for Ingalls Shipbuilding. Perform all necessary duties as the Post Delivery & Warranty Manager of multiple ship classes, which includes, but not limited to, coordination and integration efforts with SUPSHIP Gulf Coast, PEO Ships, Waterfront Managers, Ship Construction Program Offices, and major subcontractors that will perform tasks during Post Delivery availabilities. Will serve as the Primary customer interface for all Post-Delivery and Warranty Programs, Ensure effective communication and overall quality contract performance, and provides program management direction, and oversight to all Post Delivery teams.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor degree in an engineering/technical/business discipline + six (6) years of experience; or at least fifteen (15) years of shipbuilding, project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong writing and messaging skills, presentation development, and public-speaking capabilities are required; along with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, online databases, web portals, etc.
Management Experience
Prior Post Delivery experience, including strong technical knowledge of shipbuilding/ship repair, program level management experience, including customer interactions. Should be able to develop and present material to the U.S. Navy and Ingalls Senior Management. Must be knowledgeable of the Post-Delivery & warranty processes, have strong financial skills / processes to ensure high cost performance. Should have excellent communication skills and be able to negotiate and facilitate the resolution of problems and issues with the customer and within the functional organizations.
