Job Description
Pipewelders are responsible for performing pipe welding procedures on Stainless Steel, mild steel and Copper-Nickel pipe using the TIG root and stick fill and cap processes.
Basic Qualifications

Pipe Welder HA must have graduated from Tulsa Welding Schools pipewelding programs in either Tulsa, Oklahoma. Houston, Texas, or Jacksonville, Florida.  Graduates must have training in TIG root and stick fill and cap processes on p[pe systems used in the construction of U. S. Navy/Coast Guard Ships. Candidates must be able to pass a skills assessment in the 6GR position.  Candidates will have to had training using Tungsten filler metal.

Preferred Qualifications

High school/GED graduate preferred. High school Scholar Tech Master certification desired.
