Job Description

  • Project Management responsibility and support to LCS Planning Yard Services (PYS) efforts. Develops and maintains option year obligation and execution plans in Microsoft Access.

    Provides daily management of the execution plan to maintain current status budgets, schedules, and manning requirements impacted by Ship Availabilities schedule movements, requirement changes and/or direct customer requests.

    Coordinates and manages work tasking and budgets to Fleet Sustainment Engineering, Material Kitting, Planning, Estimating & Pricing and Supply Chain Management (SCM) for development of LCS PYS products that support Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFFM) milestone requirements.

    Directly interfaces with Fleet Sustainment Engineering, Material Kitting, Planning, Estimating & Pricing, SCM, Contracts, etc. in leading efforts to support emergent Navy (PMS 321) and SUPSHIP Gulf Coast (SSGC) customer requests.

    Serves as primary interface with PMS 321, SSGC, and waterfront customers for managing Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Reach Back program requests as well as developing internal and external reports communicating completion status and cost impacts of Casualty Report (CASREP) items.  Develops and submits Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for customer requests.

    In addition, supports Planning Yard Director and Management in program execution of quality, cost and schedule requirements. 

 

Basic Qualifications

6 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 4 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree.  A combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree. 

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management, Industrial Engineering or Finance experience. Strong finance acumen with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access required. Proficient in other Microsoft Office Suite programs (i.e. PowerPoint, Word). Strong analytical skills with the ability to plan and effectively manage work. Understanding and/or exposure to post-delivery processes, SCM/Material management, or Change Management.  Ability to logically express ideas in oral and written formats.  Able to work within team environment as well as independently and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
