Job Description

The selected candidate will serve as the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) for the Ingalls Shipyard Division of HII and report to the HII Enterprise Cyber Security Risk Management & Compliance Director. This role serves as both a trusted security advisor to the business and the liaison between HII Enterprise Cybersecurity and the Ingalls Shipyard Division. The BISO must understand security risks, technologies, processes and mitigations and be able to effectively communicate them to business decision makers at the Division. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Collect and report divisional cybersecurity metrics.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge related to cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and mitigations set forth to reduce the attack surface; circulate this knowledge through the Ingalls Shipyard Division.

• Ensure that the Ingalls Shipyard Division projects include cybersecurity requirements and/or mitigations from the beginning.

• Review contractual language for accuracy against applicable regulations and provide guidance to business partners about how to meet and/or mitigate for cybersecurity needs on that contract.

• Assist in coordinating cybersecurity assessments and audits.

• Address and document steps to remediate audit findings with the divisions.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Enterprise Risk Management & Compliance Director

• Ability to achieve Top Secret clearance 

Basic Qualifications

15 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field

13 Years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree in related field

9 Years of relevant professional experience with a PhD in related field

Understanding in Cybersecurity regulations and frameworks, including NIST/DoD frameworks, NIST 800-171, DFARS and CMMC.

Preferred Qualifications

An MBA and/or a strong understanding of the requirements for successful business execution

Experience with, or a strong understanding of, the technical areas the Ingalls Shipyard Division.

Preferred Technical experience with Windows & Networks operating systems.

Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA

Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
